Our expert urologists use the latest medical techniques and state-of-the-art technology to provide effective treatment for a wide variety of urological conditions, ensuring minimal discomfort and faster recovery for our patients.
Cystoscopy is a diagnostic and therapeutic procedure used to examine the inside of the bladder and urethra. Using a cystoscope (a thin tube with a camera), our urologists can identify conditions such as bladder infections, bladder cancer, or urinary tract blockages. If necessary, cystoscopy can also be used to perform minor surgeries, such as removing bladder stones or taking biopsies.
Urethroscopy: This procedure involves the examination of the urethra (the tube that carries urine out of the body). Urethroscopy is often used to diagnose conditions such as urethral strictures, infections, or abnormalities.
DJ Stenting: A DJ stent is used to relieve obstructions in the ureter (the tube connecting the kidney to the bladder). This procedure is typically performed when a stone or other obstruction is causing blockage or infection.
Ureteric Stones: Our urologists specialize in the treatment of ureteric stones (stones in the ureter). Depending on the size and location of the stone, treatments may include shockwave lithotripsy, ureteroscopy, or other surgical methods to remove or break down the stones.
Kidney stones can cause severe pain and complications if left untreated. At SHRC, our urologists specialize in the management of, offering treatments such as:
Shockwave Lithotripsy (SWL): A non-invasive treatment that uses shock waves to break kidney stones into smaller fragments.
RIRS (Retrograde Intrarenal Surgery): A minimally invasive procedure that involves the use of a flexible scope to remove kidney stones directly from the kidney. RIRS is particularly effective for stones located in difficult-to-reach areas within the kidney.
TURP is a common surgical procedure for men with an enlarged prostate (benign prostatic hyperplasia or BPH). During TURP, our urologists remove excess prostate tissue that is causing urinary problems, such as frequent urination, difficulty in starting or stopping urine flow, or urinary retention. TURP is performed using a scope inserted through the urethra, which minimizes the need for incisions and promotes a quicker recovery.
At SHRC, we ensure thorough post-procedure care and follow-up consultations to help manage any discomfort and ensure a smooth recovery. Most patients are able to return to their normal activities within a short period after undergoing minimally invasive urological treatments.
