Prof. Pruthviraj R is a prominent academic and leader in the field of physiotherapy. He currently serves as the Dean of the Faculty of Physiotherapy & Allied Health Sciences at Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) and as the Principal of R V College of Physiotherapy in Bengaluru. Prof. Pruthviraj completed his BPT from The Oxford College of Physiotherapy, where he was a university topper, and his MPT from Gurunanak Dev University, where he specialized in Sports Physiotherapy and was a gold medallist. He is certified in Orthopaedic Manual Therapy and by the London Shoulder Clinic. Prof. Pruthviraj has a wealth of teaching experience, having served as a Lecturer and Assistant Professor at various institutions before becoming the Principal of R V College of Physiotherapy in 2013. He is actively involved in musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapy, with a particular interest in shoulder rehabilitation. Prof. Pruthviraj has held significant roles in professional organizations, including being a Life Member of the Indian Association of Physiotherapists and the Indian Association of Sports Medicine. He has also contributed to various university assignments, including as a Member of the Board of Studies and an External Member of the Governing Council at JSS College of Physiotherapy. Prof. Pruthviraj has been recognized with several awards, including the Achievement Award at Physio Accord 2014 and the Best Academician Award at Nitte Physio Panacea 2022.
